The Caldwell-West Caldwell Public School District noted for top quality education and high percentage of college bound students, is made up of six public schools housing kindergarten through twelfth grade. Strategically located, many of the schools provide convenient access within neighborhood settings.

West Caldwell is also the home of the extension campus of the Essex County College and the Essex County Vocational School.

Our municipality is the home of the West Caldwell Presbyterian Church. Houses of worship of other faiths are located in nearby communities.

West Caldwell also has over 450 acres of public parks and conservation areas for the enjoyment of residents. Several of our parks have newly constructed barrier-free playground areas. 

The Township is very proud of its two community swimming pool complexes which are easily accessible to all residents. The spring fed, newly renovated Westville Avenue complex and recently reconstructed Cedar Street Pool offer healthy recreation throughout the summer months, including swimming lessons for children and seniors, and senior citizen and teen splash parties.

Several indoor and outdoor tennis facilities are accessible to community members. 

In addition, a modern, fully equipped, open membership health club and private 18-hole golf course and Country Club are located in town. 

The West Caldwell Municipal access cable television station (Channel 36) provides up-to-the-minute bulletins and announcements for the residents' convenience.

Most importantly, West Caldwell is people, people living in well-kept homes on safe tree-lined streets, and working in planned modern business and industrial districts.
