Along with the enjoyment of homeownership are some important responsibilities: 

• When streams are located on a private property, maintenance is the responsibility of the homeowner. Please keep the stream free of grass clippings, leaves and other debris, and keep the stream free flowing.

• Please remove all snow and ice from sidewalks within 24 hours of a storm. Maintenance of curb and sidewalk are generally the responsibility of the homeowner.

• Sanitary sewers in any community can back up during heavy rainstorms. Please do not discharge sump pumps or storm water into sanitary sewers. Make sure your sump pump is in good order. Also, you may want to install a backflow preventor if your sewer is prone to backups. 

• Please walk you dog on a leash and pick up afterwards!
