The weather threatened a little in the late afternoon but it turned out to be a very nice comfortable evening. The overflow crowd really enjoyed the show as the Duprees took us back in time with their many songs from the fifties and sixties.
The show was sponsored by Shoprite of West Caldwell who provided their "Barbecue Dinner" starting at 5:00 pm. Proceeds from the sale of food were donated to the West Essex First Aid Squad. Before the start of the show, the Gladstein Commemorative Green was dedicated in honor of Irving Gladstein. The Gladstein family participated in this dedication and is pictured below in front of the commemorative plaque with the Mayor and Council members. The inscription on the plaque is below the picture.
